Artdeco Dita Von Teese Classics Lipstick – 637, Review

shade 637 (on the top)

Lately I’ve been completely impressed with lipsticks from the Artdeco Dita Von Teese Classics collection! I’m all over shade 637 – highly pigmented berry shade which suits everyone (at least I’m sure it does :D ).

I love their vintage packaging but there is one thing I don’t like – it’s so smooth and whenever you touch it you leave your fingerprints on it and that really annoys me because it looks so messy all the time. Okay, that isn’t SO important but it bugs me :D

Important thing about this lipstick is it’s high quality. I wore it on Saturday all day long – once I applied it on my lips it simply stayed there. It is a bit drying if you wear it 8+ hours, but I recommend applying a lip liner as a base. It really helps and it’s less drying that way.

I love how well pigmented it is – you need just one layer of it to achive opaque shade on lips. I recommend outlining your lips since it can bleed a bit. Not much, but enough for you not to want that to happen. I’m using transparent lip liner since I don’t have one in similar shade as this lipstick. It’s not matte the very moment you apply it, but it becomes matte after a while. Photo below was taken just after I applied it and right next to my window so it doesn’t look matte.

Here is another swatch, 637 is on the left. It looks too cool here.

This lipstick retails for $22 and it contains 4 grams of product. It’s really an excellent ratio of price, quality and grammage and it can compete with any Illamasqua lipstick for example (their retail price is $32 for 4 grams of product).

The rest of products from this collection you can see HERE and HERE.

How do you like this shade? Did you get anything from this collection?
